The mature EMS/LIM systems are the Japanese Chubu HSST, Korean Rotem UTM, and the Chinese Tangshan TRC MLT of the Beijing Enterprises consortium. There are EMS/LIM test tracks in the US in Georgia by AMT and in Virginia at ODU. There is active R&D using permanent magnets (PM) in Dalian China and in the US by LevX PM. US MagneMotion EMS/LSM M3, the General Atomics Inductrack/LSM test system, the Magplane, .In March 2005 the world's first commercial Urban Maglev, the 9km/9station HSST Tobu Kyuryo Line (TKL), opened in Aichi, Japan. By May 2006 the CHSST "Linimo" had carried over 22 million with 99.997% reliability. A similar Rotem UTM is planned for Incheon Korea, and the Chinese MLT for Beijing, and Johor Baru.In the US an HSST-type maglev is proposed for the "I-70 Denver-Vail" corridor, a GA Inductrack system for California U. of Pennsylvania.Examples of super-speed inter-city maglev systems are EMS/LSM Transrapid, and the Superconducting/LSM Linear Chuo Shinkansen.
